Hello everyone, for the first time EVER (thats right, you heard it here first) radicool is featuring an interview! and not just an interview, but an interview with one of the coolest kids on the block. Don't feel bad dear reader for not having heard of her, you will soon.
Freya Wysocki (pronounced vi-sot-ski) makes her own clothes, listens to weird french music and is seriously one of the most stylish 14 year olds I know. (I'm just comparing her to myself at that age...she puts me in the shadows man).Amy: So here we go, when did you first start making clothes?
Freya: errrr.... about when I was about 10 or 11, year 5/6ish?? I think:)
A: WOW thats pretty young, i guess youve been able to develop your sweet skills from then.Why did you start making them?
F: Because my mum used to make clothes and i saw loads of her old patterns so i bought one for a skirt and a little shruggie thing-which was HIDEOUS, and made that. Although when i made that mum did help me quite alot so i would say it was more of both of us.
A: Ahh going down the generations.A hideous shruggie thing sounds like a good starting place though! What was the best thing youve ever made and why?
F:I'd say it was my coat- which i made most recently ( about 3 days ago) or a maroon silk shirt because i made it without a pattern and I was really pleased cos it was the right size and had button holes and everything!:) Although it was quite messy cos it was without a pattern but i am still really proud of it!A: The coat is amazing. Just simply one the chicest things i've seen in a long time. I heard about it from Ella (ella is freya sister, thats how i know her) and i couldn't wait to see it! I hear you like tweed, i LOVE tweed. and also you like to dress like lady di? i think thats pretty cool.
F: YES!!! I love tweed! I recently found some hand woven tweed in a charity shop! I made it into a cape!:) ermm... I don't mean to dress like lady Di, but I still like her look! But some off her clothes are a bit matching and coordinated.
A: I agree, but lady di was a bit of fashion rebel in the royal family! Where do you get all your inspiration from?F: err i think i get most of it from Chanel! Cos it is actually amazing!
But i make up lots of my own style and i don't really follow any trends or people, But i have reasently found a new designer- Richard Weston, he's actually a geologist, but he won a comp. for libertys to design a scarf and they are actually the most BEAUTIFUL thing i have EVER seen, I have thought of a few things linked into his geology theme to make.
A: That's true style really, taking something totally out of the fashion context and interpreting into your own style and making it fit. I think you're naturally stylish, without the natural talent you wouldn't be able to do things like that!do you read style rookie? because you remind me so much of tavi (i think its your hair)
F:I have started recently and i am so jealous of her! She gets all that free stuff! And her clothes and stuff are so nice! Do i?? I loved her hair when it was grey though!:)
A: Ahh same, I would kill to get the Proenza Schouler splatter print trousers for free. It was super cool, i think you should do it! Whos your favourite fashion house and why?F:CHANEL!!!! Coorrrrr....i am actually obsessed!! haha I love all their collections and their make up is amazing to! And i also love how Coco Chanel started, in Paris (which is were i want to live) and grew from almost nothing to such a famous and brilliant designer! I also Love Weston, if he really counts??
A: Ohh I'm a sucker for Chanel make-up too. I think you're the new Coco. Of course he counts! If your designs (whether it's only scarves) are in Liberty's, then you count in my opinion! Lastly, if you had to pick a single person who is your idol, who would it be and why?
F: Coco Chanel (again :/) Because of what i said before about her life and all her amazing clothes and I LOVE the 1920's - 1960's! i'd have to say the 1920's would have been my favourite era, which she was alive and young in, all her original collections really stun me and they probably are how, if i had enough money, i would buy and live in them and they would be my life!:)A: You can tell you love the 20's from your creations, it's great how you've shown the influences without having them completely dominate the style. Ahh I love how you love Chanel so much, it's so elegant!
So thats Freya everyone, one of lifes rare people with a true eye for style much beyond her years! This won't be the last you've heard of her, mark my words.

Hello there, this is going to be quick because my nose is running and superbad is on channel 5 (oh the irony). If any of you read platform this is old news, but i thought it was cool and i like to spread the word and generally have a bunch of recycled ideas which have not come from my own mind in any way.

So the art collective 'This is it' are putting on a show pretty soon (read about it here), and after reading about it and getting very sad that i will never go that show, i read their blog.

And on their blog I found Sarai Vardi (god that took a long time to get to) and she is very very neat.

Hello everyone! Errr yeah so a bit has been happening, school mostly is hectic blah blah blah sameoldstory.

I know a while ago I said I would make my blog a bit less fashion-y, but frankly I was lying. I just saw this and I had to. It was like a message came from above in the form of this collection.

Of course its Kane! I believe he is the emperor of all things ugly. Look at the colour of the first dress. My gran has carpets that colour. And also the weird lace trimming is so incredibly vile that I feel very attracted to it. The use of print is something I wasn't too keen on, combined with the piping surrounding various areas. Like some of the dresses have the piping around the bust and straps, nah mate, as they say in ghost world, its gone past the line of bad into good and then gone a little bit further back into bad again. Sad but true. See the whole collection here.

Also before I go I just have to add that I am now friends with Hannah Hanra on facebook. I'm never going to talk to her, but it's the thought that counts.

Here is the Harmony Korine directed film for Proenza Schouler. To be honest, I'm not digging the clothes or the film. I mean the collection in itself is dissapointing, the paint splat trousers look tacky to me and the jackets just aren't doing it for me. Of course it has the obligitary hushed voice whispery narration of a Harmony Korine film, nothing new is it really. However I do like it that the girls are normal people and not models, and the place its set is super crummy. I dunno it's kind of intruging. Well i suggest you watch it just to make up your own mind, it's not very long so you might as well.

Hello there everyone, another day another post. Menswear seems to be taking a new direction away from shitty suits (although there is still obviously many out there) and breaking into new ground. And by new ground I mean they take colours and materials from womens wear and totally man them up. Well not that much, but recently I've found myself more attracted to menswear than womens wear, i think it might be a sign. I'm not sure what of, but oh well.

Anyway here are some lovely things...

3.1 Phillip Lim. Alright so obviously you've got the leather auburn jacket and shorts, which are reminding me very much of celine (anyone else agree here?). The necklace on the first picture too, something that i've noticed appearing in a few of the shows. And shorts that are shorter than what is socially acceptable. Also note the paisley beige sweater in the middle which should be a disaster but is just so nice. Richard Chai. First off I have to begin with the socks and sandals. Totally doing it for me I am afraid to admit. I think it's about time that a bit of the old man in everyone came out and said hello. Necklaces again. Also, the pattern clashing works very well, expecially in the second look with the peach and grey shorts with the striped blue shirt. AND finally my favourite bit the khaki mesh insert top. I would wear that. For true.

Rag&Bone. I love them anyway because their womenswear is spot on, but the menswear just adds to the love if I'm honest. The mish mash of weird shapes and colours, it's just so unstylish it's stylish. The last outfit is probably my favourite, i never thought red and camel would go so well together. And the long camel shirt, takes a bit of getting used to because it looks like some sort of religious clothing, but that's cool.

Also I has noticed from many of the shows a strong military/workwear vibe, but contrasted with necklaces and delicate shoes rather than big chunky boots. For some reason I feel very refreshed by s/s 11 menswear, it seems to be expanding the colour palate and shapes, working with new materials and ideas. I don't think my writing has been this happy in months, I just finally found something to be happy about.

Alright then I best be off, a toasted crumpet awaits.

Hello everyone, I have had no time to do much really. Apart from the weekly drunkeness that has become basically the only thing I live for. It's sad but oh so true.

Anyway, in an attempt to draw me out of my little hole I have been fantasizing about a trip (that may not happen but hopefully will) to Paris. So I was super lame and looked up loads of lovely pictures and nice hotels and stuff, resulting in my top 3 things I love about Paris (even though I have not been there...yet.)

1. Parisen MacaroonsAnd pastries in general. I'm a sucker for pastries, I would eat a hundred croissants a day if I could. Macaroons (or macarons, depending on preference) are the most sweet adorable things I have ever seen. The only place I have ever known to sell them in England is Claridges, so if anyone knows anywhere else please tell me.

2. VespasOr more accurately, those who drive them. They ooze chic-ness, all from a little machine with a hair drier engine and 60 watt buld for a headlight. The colours of vespas remind me of early technicolour, think of Audrey Hepburn in Paris when it sizzles, all faded round the edges and lomo-esque.

3. ChanelDo I need to say more?

I think I'm just a bit too much of a dreamer.

Oh hi there! This past week has been pretty good to be frank. Party on friday and then I saw dinner for schmucks on saturday. It was hilarious. So yeah everything is jolly good!

Hello. I posted yesterday, but frankly it was shit so i deleted it. So today I thought i would post again, about Pop. I am so in love with this magazine, its better than Lula for me because it's quite dark and more styled, and it has better layouts and more interesting pages than Love, Purple etc. AND it came with a sticker sheet this time. Actual stickers.Anyway, of course I have to post pictures of my favourite spread. Thats what I always do. So favourite this time, after much deliberation, is Rome, Savage with Eniko Mihalik and Tetyana Melnychuk...I LOVE POLONECKS. I bought one the other day and the first comment I received was 'Amy has come dressed at a vicar'. I took it as a compliment. Styling is always good, goes without saying to be honest. This spread is very luxurious, lots of fur, lace and elaborate jewels. It's pretty sweet, the whole magazine is. So go out and buy it. I should so work in advertising.

p.s RADICOOL WAS 1 YEAR OLD ON THE 5TH!can you believe it? I've managed to write about a load of rubbish for a year.

And nearly all the time my favourites are the swedish/danish minimalist ones, which is nothing new, everyone knows they are way cool (possibly more than londoners and the french?) but when I was on Copenhagen Street Style I saw this picture of Eleonore... I think she is like the cutest ever. I read her blog and it just is so nice. She has such good style, and it is proper style, not just fashion following...

Hey everyone, the other day i went to the library and got a few books, based on their covers. i know you shouldn't do that but i was in a rush etc. anyway one of them was Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. Honestly one of the most famous books ever written, i didnt even notice what it was when i picked it up. anyway ive been reading it pretty much non-stop. its pretty cool i must say, some of the stories in it are like a page long. 1. Courtney LoveHere's the thing, without Kurt Cobain she would be nothing. I don't just mean not famous, I mean absolutely nothing, living in a gutter sucking whiskey out of a damp old bar napkin. So she was in Hole, possibly one of the most talked about yet not actually listened to bands of all time, they are shit. Don't even get me started on her 'style', cause honestly I will never stop. Although kudos to her, she doesn't take anyone's shit and she can handle herself. Also she wrote this, devastatingly nonsensical tweet aimed at Taylor Momsen which I like, because she basically tells her to stop being such a TIT...@taylorxmomson shut the FUCK up you overpriveliged bratty bitch that picked on every freak in high school mention my name again? BAM… is that youyr name? i dont watch tv or read teen mags and gossip rags so i wouldnt know, do NOT still “like my music”please… if i was pissy about every chick that every bit me id be busy indeed your just annoyingly cloyingly wrong.WORKWITHYRHANDS… oh btw i doubt it would be from me that BAM, i think it would be from every “freak” and Fag” in high school you ever picked on. 2. Taylor Momsen

Oh look, it's Taylor Momsen! She didn't just change to this 'punk glam-goth' because her character on gossip girl did, oh no, she changed because it was who she really is. And her band are so cool and edgy, no one her age gets her because she is so complex, so her band is made up of middle aged men.Dear lord. She is 16, granted we are the same age, but she has absolutley no clue about anything. She wore a babydoll. Shock horror. Then she wore stripper shoes. Just bad taste. Then her tampon string hung out and she showed the world things they really didn't need to see. Seriously?Yes, she attempts to act older than she is, ultimately backfiring and making her look like a childish wannabe. Taylor Momsen, you are not so different, you were in Gossip Girl and the Grinch, and your band makes me want to die. Oh the irony, thats one of their song titles. Inventive.

3. Alexa Chung

I like Alexa Chung, when she presented T4 it brightened up my saturday morning. What I don't like is all the 'Chung-ettes' I see everywhere. I understand if people would like to take inspiration, but honestly an entire outfit? And haircut!? And mannerisms?! I don't understand how this Alexa admiration has gotten to such a level...she was just a presenter on T4!!!

Anyway today On Her Majesty's secret service was on ITV, which is like the worst Bond film because it has George Lazenby in it and he is the rubbishest one. But still, I like the costumes.

Look at the ruffles on that shirt. BEAUTIFUL. In the film though there's an African lady and she has the coolest attire ever, but the stupid internet doesn't have any pictures. It's like a traditional african dress and headscarf, and she's really pretty and it looks so nice. But alas no picture so my shit explaination will have to do.
I need to get out more. I honestly feel like I'm stagnating right now. How lovely.

“He was on his way to the USA from China, but he stopped off in Japan. He was extremely knowledgeable about history and geography, and he liked sake. I remember he was into Russia at the time. Why did he go to Patagonia? You might not know this but Bruce knew a lot about Japanese haiku. He read ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’ by Basho and thought that if Basho went to the North, he should go to the South. He had another reason that made sense to me. A long time ago, his grandmother kept a piece of skin of the animal that resides in Patagonia. He kept this story in him all his life, so he wanted to see that animal.
“After we had left the bar and were waiting for the last train, Bruce asked me what I did. I said that I was a researcher and was studying Buckminster Fuller. I added that I had translated Fuller’s book. Then he said,
‘Oh, Bucky. I know him very well.’
The train came at that moment and he hopped into the carriage.
‘I have a lot of things that I want to say about him…’
Before he finished his phrase, the door closed.

Morning. I was reading platform (as per usual) and I came across this article thing about Kwes. I have never heard of him before, thus i was intruged. Apparently he can see colours as sounds and vice versa. Which I know alot of people can do, sometimes I think I can do it, but I think I just trick myself into thinking it. Anyway, I listened to it...
It has to be the biggest load of shit I have ever heard. It pains me to listen to it. Bad 90's-esc 'rave' rubbish.If I actually could see colours as sounds I would use it to benefit people, not make their ears bleed and cause them irregular heartbeats.

Hello there. Once again I am back, can you believe it? So today I feel like telling you all about people I would like to meet, because basically i can. So I will. Hooray!
Number 1. Harmony Korine circa. 1997

This has to be one of the best interviews I have ever seen. It's so akward, and David Letterman keeps taking the piss and Harmony just doesn't really care. Because he's on herion. I would like to meet him right after that interview and have a chat. It could be fun.
Number 2.Naheed Simje

She owns Glacial Pace recordings,is a stylist, likes art,and works in advertising. She is basically one of these people who does everything yet nothing. I have a feeling she would be able to tell me alot of cool stuff I didn't know, and introduce me to loads and loads of super rad people. She is also an RVCA advocate hence the super rad people meeting.

Number 3. Hayao MiyazakiThis is pretty much a no brainer. Anyone who can come up with stories like My Neighbour Totoro and Princess Monoke would be amazing to meet. I read an interview with him that was in Dazed and Confused a while back, and he seems like the sweetest most sincere man in the world.

This was small but took me a surprisingly long time. I will probably do another thing along these lines soon, radicool needs a bit more substance in my opinion. Aight bye x

Hey everyone, once again i haven't posted in a very very long time. But i got back from Latitude yesterday and it was just so so amazing so i have to write about it. I will have some pictures soon hopefully, but i have to get them developed and they might be shit so yeah.

Anyway, it was so amazing! Everyone says it, because everyone had a great time. There was quite alot of palava because of our tent and the fact the wind was basically a hurricane, but it was sorted pretty much, after it ripped and the poles bent. We camped right underneath the sign for yellow campsite C, with a brazillian flag flying proudly!I didn't see too many bands really, but I liked everyone I saw. Florence and the Machine was a bit rubbish, we couldn't see a thing and were so cramped.Crystal Castles were one of my favourites, theres been so much complaining and moaning all over the internet about how crap they were but so what if she punched some people and no one could really understand what she was saying?The youth fucking loved it.I got hurt quite a lot, which in this case was a good thing.

Also yuck were really really good, and wild beasts, and egyptian hip hop...

So now I have plenty more inspiration, met some super cool people and had a throughly rad time. Good day to you all x x x

Hello! I'm so sorry for my bad bad posting skills, right now it's good old GCSE time so everything else in life has to take a back seat for a while. But today is a lovely day right? If you're in England that is, apparently it's hotter than Greece right now. I am frazzling to death.

Hello, I got mega bored today so I just searched through loads of old shows and stuff on style.com. The best one i found has to be prada s/s 2001, it is a beauty. Pretty sweet huh? The colours are so cool, plus the pattern on the yellow skirt and cardigan are super, my gran has a table cloth with that pattern. But it's the best one and only comes out at family gatherings and christmas and stuff.So if anyone has any pieces from the collection kicking around, then just drop me a line, i will gladly take them off your hands.

I watched a programme about boy george. It was alright, pretty good story and some crazy crazy hair. BUT the key thing about this epic biopic was a man called Douglas Booth.Look at that jaw line. mmm...He used to be model (!), and was in a Burberry campaign and everything. The black and white photo was taken by Hedi Slimane, who always always always finds the best lookers around. I'm a little bit in love with him, even wearing 80's make up a la george.

Hey guys! My last few posts havent been all that great to be frank, so hopefully now your hopes are nice and low for future posts. Nothing like a bit of positivity. Here's a sign put up backstage at Kate Sylvester's show.Can you read it? sorry its so small, it says 'and so live forever- or else swoon to death, J.Keats' right at the top. Nice and prententious, nothing like a great novel quote to make you look clever and totally individual (my mother said sarcasm would be the death of me). Then underneath it says 'You are tomboys + poets''You inspire love + great art''You are cool, effortless + nonchalant' Ok this is a bit annoying, but I suppose that it inspires the feel of the collection and gets everyone in the mood. So i will give her that one. But then at the bottom, the thing that most annoys me is 'You do NOT smile'. It's underlined. It's an order. Good manners cost nothing you know, why don't you by nice to the girls who are walking your show? I suppose that she wants to make sure everything goes well, but underlined and bold and everything? Chill out.

So my faith in the internet has been restored after I found out about this japanese magazine called so en.The styling is NICCCCE. It kind of reminds me of how nylon used to be before it went all teen vogue. I have just found this as everyone has pretty much got over the initial novelty and stuff. BUT i dont care, I looked on the proper website and its all in japanese which is nice and helpful, so i just clicked on stuff i didnt know until i found this picture...

A Single man

HELLO! I have been busy this week, well not really but you know its the holidays and I have only had 2 days at home in two weeks. Anyway the other day (I can't remember which, I'm all muddled) I went and saw A Single man. I must say, it is one of the best films ever. So the basic story is that a guy called george loses his boyfriend in a car crash and sinks into a pit of depression. The film follows him over a single day, and he has various encounters with a range of people including his friend charley, played by Julianne Moore.

She is one of my favourite characters cause she is drunk basically all the time, and her house is mega nice. Plus she smokes pink cigarettes. Classy.Nicholas Hoult plays the student who basically stalks George. He has to do an american accent which is a bit weird but it's quite good. Also the girl with him is his girlfriend kinda, played by Aline Weber. A model? Doing acting? SHOCKING! Well not really because all she does is look moody and chain smoke and not talk. So yeah not acting, posing.

I know that is very short but I really have no time, so just go and see it ok? It's blinding.

Hello everyone. I was reading I-D earlier (cause like i bought it ages ago but haven't got round to reading it yet) and there was a teeny tiny editorial with Abbey Lee in it...

Yeah she's not really wearing many clothes which defies the point of a fashion magazine about clothes, BUT she is painted gold. Snaps for I-D. The 'top' in the second picture is so nice, it has such an unusual shape and the print on it is mega ace. Boots in the last one are totally amazing,the heels are pretty damn fierce. Hello there. I know I haven't been posting all that much but you know, stuff to do, people to see. Anyway I was browsing and I found these mega cool illustrations by Roger Daniel using David David prints for sketchbook magazine. The issue was about british designers and these pictures were used for the bit about David David.There was another one but I didn't like it very much so I just left it off. But these two, I just love them. The boy with the laser eyes is rad. That's right RAD.

Yesterday we saw these girls who were just milling around various charity shops and they just had this whole air about them that was mega annoying. You know those people who are like yeah I'm a photographer and a blogger and a model and a DJ and a designer and I'm in an experimental noise band which totes pushes all the boundaries of all music genres? well yeah they were like that.

But we didn't actually talk to them, so we can't be completley sure, but I bet my bottom dollar they were.

Another fashion related post, now with extra declerations of love

Hello everyone. I know the posts have been extremely fashion related recently, but now all the fashion shows are over it will become much less i promise. The shows have been good this season non? Especially Hussein Chalayan.FUCKING SPACE YEAH! The sleeves make this dress, ok so there is wicked cool space explosion powder stuff and then you see the sleeves and it's kinda hard to guess whats going on there. They remind me of spaceships, which i guess is the angle that hes taking. I love how it's not on the shoulders either, cause that ship has sailed, its all about arms now.Beautiful. I love how he has re-created stars and nebulas and stuff in absolute sparkle genius, plus the sleeve is coming in again in the last dress, and those GLASSES! They say mirage, which i had to zoom in mega loads to see. I think I might go to a joke shop tomorrow to try and find some other word ones, they are just so cool. Hussein Chalayan is up there for me now, although some of the other pieces in the collection remind me heavily of chloe, but thats just because they use similiar colours i suppose.Bloody love the shoes though, shiney and brown and simple. Laaaaavely! I'm going to hunt for some similiar ones tomorrow, doubt ill find any though.

I love the whole collection, it incorporates so many looks and styles in one show. He is a true british institution, long live Chalayan!!

My first EVER post was about Christopher Kane working with Versace to create the Versus line, in which I wasn't particularly nice about what he was saying or how he acted around Donatella Versace. But now that Versus is actually out I think I may have to take back some of my criticism (only some, not all ok?)It is totally what Kane was talking about all those months ago, still the Versace look, but for the youth yeah? I love the shoes most of all, plus the dresses are all a cute length and the flare of the skirt looks really flattering. Also the caging on some of the dresses is restrictive but as it's in silk it still looks gentle and soft. Ohh juxtaposition there!
I really like the collection, there's an obvious connection between each of the pieces which I love and the colours are really luxurious and attract the eye in a way which is quite subtle rather than too crazy.

Anyway Marc Jacobs F/W...what the flip is going on.

WHAT?!! When I was flicking through the show pictures I was just astonished. I'm a huge fan if things that are so ugly they're nice, but this is taking the biscuit. The coat in the second picture looks like a matted, jumble sale, suede, OAP jacket. and not in a good way. The coat in the first picture could be ok, but there are weird shiny bits on it and the shaggy fur is just gross. Actually looking closer I'm not sure if it's a coat or a suit because the fur changes colour on the skirt bit, but whatever it is, I hate it. Jumper in the last picture is quite nice, but why pair it with that skirt? It just seems to have ruined what could have been a good outfit.
BUT...

All hope is not lost! I adore these two looks, and there's a couple of the other long flowy dresses that I like, but these are my favourites. I love how they have paired the thin grey socks with the flowing nude fabrics, they are two of my favourite colours together and this just hits the nail on the head.I find it so fascinating that in the same collection you can have clothes which are polar opposites and have something so beautiful alongside something which looks like it's from a car boot sale!

Hey there fellows! My blogging abilities have been extremely shocking recently. I have nothing to talk about, well I can talk about my life but that is BOOOOORRRING.

So i shall talk about something worthwhile yeah? Hows about comparing old (ish) and brand spanking new clothes, bear with me you might like it.

So i was flicking through t'internet and I found Roksanda Ilincic's show for fall 2010 and instantly thought of Sonia Rykiels show for spring 2009. I don't know what did it, I think it may have been the similiar hair styles or something. But anyway I looked into it more, so what do you think? Roksanda on the left, Rykiel on the right.

I don't know if I'm swinging and missing to be honest, but in my personal opinion I think they are very similiar and that's not a bad thing. I personally prefer Sonia Rykiel to Roksanda Ilincic because her shows and clothes have much more life and craziness, plus they are more my style. I'm so happy the fall 2010 shows are out now, I waaaay prefer them to the summer shows.Also I just have to add, Jacob took this picture of me and I love it so I am going to put it right here...

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in ages so i thought i would. I have been trying to do work but instead I am watching jeremy kyle and eating jelly.

The Fall 2010 shows are basically all out now, which I find pretty weird but it's the same every year so I should pretty much be used to it by now. Anyway I've been looking through the collections and I am BORED, Proenza Schouler is too dark, Marc Jacobs is too plain and Jeremy Scott only has like two things I like.

These are my all time favourite designers and I don't think that creativity is coming through, it's all a bit commercial.

But the most commercial is usually Rodarte, but this season I think they've done something which is honestly different and creative.

I think that the flowing fabrics especially the long dresses are just amazing. I like how the whole collection was light and airy, which you don't see in f/w shows. It was obviously what was going to happen after all the black and studs which have been hanging around for far too long.This is by far my favourite look of the whole show. I love how they have mixed patterns and fabrics, plus the top totes looks like something you would dig out of a jumble sale, but they have managed to make it look good by putting really rad opaque sleeves onto it.

So there it is, kudos to Rodarte who have actually managed to create something which is actually gorgeous!

It looks a lot older than it is, it is actually only 21 years old. I got film for it yesterday so its all up and ready to go! except the back came open when i thought i had shut it so the first picture and some of the second one will just be nothing cause the light got to it. It was a bit of a dunce kinda thing to happen, but im learning.

It's finally half term so i am sorting out my room and getting some art done. Not nessercarily in that order.

Hello everyone. Still sad about McQueen, it doesn't feel like it's actually happened! But the show must go on i guess...so today it's post 100!

It's weird, I have written 100 posts about stuff in my head in about 5 months. That's surreal right? Erm so on such a big anniversary I have decided to write about the wonderfulness of Erin Wasson.

In my life there are 3 women who I would love to be, or at least meet and grin like an absolute goon to. Numero uno is Eva Green, which needs no justification because she is just the bees knees. two is blates the big V herself, Vivienne Westwood. And last but not least is Erin Wasson.

I briefly spoke about her s/s 10 collection AN AGE AGO, so I am going to talk about her RVCA collab for autumn winter 2010.

It's only February but the shows are already out there so might as well.

It was a small collection, but quality not quantity.

I totes love it. Basically the whole collection was monochromatic, and i really liked how it was more white than this gloomy black stage the entire fashion world is going through (today i wore all black and 2 people asked me who's funeral i was going to, no joke). Loving the dress lengths, waterfall cuts and the tie up shorts in the last picture. Everythings really loose and flowing, like a fresh summer breeze.Beautiful.

Ciao, I am now going to fafas for a film evening. I don't know what we are going to watch yet, but i hope its good.

Hey everyone, today brought the news that Alexander McQueen has taken his own life after the loss of his mother last week.

It's such a great loss, not just to the fashion world, but to everyone. He was a true visionary, the bench mark for every designer, and the flag carrier for British design talent and individuality. It's so upsetting, I send my condolences to all his family and friends.British fashion will never be the same.

Hello, today I was internet browsing (as if I ever do anything else) and I kept seeing swimwear! It's February for goodness sake! But none the less I have already found some pieces which I like, very much.

Top two from Nasty Gal vintage (possibly the most annoying name ever) and bottom one from AA. You can't beat american apparel when it comes to anything tight and all-in-one. Although it was hard to find pictures without the models spreading their legs.

I'm getting so lazy it's not even funny. All of my time is spent doing work, watching tv or going on facebook. I'm an addict. I can bearly be bothered to lift my hands to type, but I am doing so right now so it's all fine.

Anyway...Wendy Nichol lives in NY and make bags and jewellry and stuff.

I think that the Elk Satchel is pretty rad..I like it cause it's different without being pretentious or try hard. But I don't really know if you can put those words to bags, like some people say clothes are witty and they can't be because they are made of cloth and cloth can't argue back in a humorous manner. These are huge earrings made of horsehair. I like them, except I think that if you wore them then they would get all knotty and you would have to brush them or something. But I still want a pair, the black ones oh yes. I like the combination of hair and studs and chains and leather, it's weird. Hello there, let me introduce you to the next item i will be attempting to make and ultimately failing dismally. Shouldn't be that hard, just bits of leather tied around beads and chain with some studs. It's like $500, but I can't buy it anyway cause I live in England.

I'm going to have a cup-a-soup now, I'm living off them at the moment.

Stella McCartney pre-fall

HELLO! I am so happy at the moment it's unreal, mummy bought me some lovely new boots and a crop top from Topshop...I'll probably see a gagillion other people wearing it in like two days but whatever. I'm just bored of it man.

Anyway yeah I'm getting those no later than tuesday so it should be all good.

Back to the point, I don't really see the point in pre-season collections. Like they are all good and everything but kinda dull sometimes. So I've already written about Alexander Wang because I really like it, and now Stella McCartney because she's a beaut. I really really really love this. It's like cool pyjamas tracksuit hybrid. Shame it's in grey, I would dig this in maybe a mint green or dusty pink, for that nineties toddler look (i had a lovely puffy onesie in mint green, it would be nostalgic if this was too). I think that Stella McCartney took her inspiration for this from a dodgy second hand curtain shop. I really hope she did, my admiration for her would go through the bloody roof.Just had to include it. Nice shape, weird wood type printed material, plus it has this circle cape thing going on. It's pretty much ace.

That's all for today everyone. I am getting into Glee far too much, so I'm going to watch it.

Also on T4 there was just a programme about Ke$ha (oh yeah get me with the dollar sign) and I swear she was wasted. Maybe that's just her persona I don't know.

Oh dear me...

Hey guys, i'm sure this is old news to most by now but everyone has an opinion so im going to tell mine.
so basically Tavi wore this headpiece (people keep calling it a hat, in my eyes its not a hat) to the Dior Haute Couture show and everyone is getting all worked up about it.
Some people are getting way into hating her for it but I think that its just a bit rude of her. She's sitting front row, and although she is short, it is the equivalent of a tall person standing in front of you. Which is the most annoying thing ever, take note big haired girl at JME, and tall lanky boy and co at the Maccabees.
Also I think that it shows her age, she is only 13 after all. All the others who sit front row don't wear extrovert pieces because they have the experience and the knowing about what goes on in these shows, and what is courteous to the other people there.
I find it so amazing that she got to sit front row at a haute couture show. I'm jealous obviously, but in my eyes this is a kinda silly thing to do when youre in with the fashion elite.
But what do I know, I don't even work for a living.

hey guys, this is a rambling post so i couldn't think of name so i just put the date.
I've been reading loads of other blogs lately, and I keep finding these really pretentious ones written by people my age.
For gods sake people, you are 16 years old. You know nothing about the world. You can't try and sound really profound and intellectual by pointing out that everyone is so small in the grand scheme of things. Everyone knows that, so shut up.
It makes me so mad, to be honest if I read a blog I want to hear something interesting not just another generic 'individual' kid moaning about how little they mean to everyone and how depressing their life is. Boo hoo, whatever. Man up.

Sorry I had to get that off my chest.
Post soon on something that isnt so negative and kinda hypocritical.

New old jacket

hey guys, today i was ill (and not in the like cool street way, in the mucus-y gross way, i'm such a sicky child nowadays). Anyway i thought id show some pictures of my jacket...

These pictures make it look a lot bluer than it is, its kind of lighter than navy by about two shades. I got this other jacket, it's a YSL mens windbreaker but I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, it's HUGGGGEEE. But I got that one and this one (which is Laura Ashley) for £8.50. In a vintage shop they would be like £25 each, maybe more. I love charity shops, it takes a while to get what you want but it's worth it.

Also my gran gave me this long tartan dress, i'll put pictures up soon. It kinda has a Miu Miu feel, which i am totally in love with. Except it's made of wool and it makes me look about 40.

A chinese woman could have blinded me...

Hey there, honestly last night was pretty weird.

Right so me and maisie decided to go to this chinese restaurant for our birthdays. So yeah we went and when we had finished all our lovely meal (22 of us went, jenny and me shared duck pancakes and beef and rice) the waitresses bought over this ice cream. Here is what followed:

1. The ice cream came in a poppadom

2. The old chinese woman kissed me on both cheeks

3. She then popped a party popper right in my face, at close range.

So yeah thats that, i was pretty freaked out.

Here are some pictures of my t-shirt, ohh exciting right? ignore my face, i tend to look like a grumpy toddler in photos.

I bought 2 jackets yesterday, which i will post about later today or tomorrow. Whenever I feel like it really.

I have posted about a gazillion times about being bored. I am constantly bored, even when something good happens its just like oh it'll be over soon. Ok maybe thats a bit more negativity than boredom but argh im so bored i could eat my left arm. and then my right arm. and then both my legs.

So hello everyone, happy sunday. I have a ridiculous amount of work to do today and I have conjunctivitis in my right eye. It's all puffy and really small and soooo gross.
Not much of any interest going on, i went to ellas last night it was pretty fun. The way I said that sounded like there was a bar called ellas,no i went to her house. I FINALLY ordered the Luella T-shirt with the pyramid holding a bag of money on! It was like £30 including p+p and should get here on monday. Erm...oh and i found a hubcap so i am now using it as a bowl to keep odds and ends in. Yeah thats about it really.

Topshop get some new ideas please

I shop in Topshop. A large percentage of my clothes come from there. I don't like shopping there but I still do. I am attempting to phase it out though, so hopefully before 2010 is out I will have maybe 2 or 3 items from there. Now that's all cleared up, lovely jubbly. Something fishy is going on here, sorry the pictures so bad i had to get a tiny one and then make it big so its a bit shitty. So basically the Alexander Wang piece has like opaque material on the arms and neck line. The Topshop one has it on the bottom, plus it has long sleeves and is basically the same shape and everything.
Also who can forget this one? This is far too similar to get away with it.I appreciate getting inspiration from designer pieces, but you have to draw the line at just knocking them off completely. Two years ago Chloe sued them for copying some yellow dungarees (which are ugly as sin in my opinion). They had to pay $12000 and destroy all of the other garments.

So Topshop please can you stop making copies of EVERYTHING, and also can you make everything a little less samey? when I went in last week everything was black or nude or stripey so please get your act together.
