runny nose

Hello there, this is going to be quick because my nose is running and superbad is on channel 5 (oh the irony). If any of you read platform this is old news, but i thought it was cool and i like to spread the word and generally have a bunch of recycled ideas which have not come from my own mind in any way.
So the art collective 'This is it' are putting on a show pretty soon (read about it here), and after reading about it and getting very sad that i will never go that show, i read their blog.
And on their blog I found Sarai Vardi (god that took a long time to get to) and she is very very neat.

Her official site is here, and i suggest you go and check her out because she is cool.

Drawing like kids is better than drawing like Van Gogh.

All this work is by Megan Whitmarsh, its like embroidered and stuff. Pah what great explaining. Personally I think it's flipping great...but her drawings I think are a bit better.Yeti-band the bottom one is my best. I will post again with a few more words and stuff soon, i just dont really feel like it right now.

Roger Daniel. David David. wow.

Hello there. I know I haven't been posting all that much but you know, stuff to do, people to see. Anyway I was browsing and I found these mega cool illustrations by Roger Daniel using David David prints for sketchbook magazine. The issue was about british designers and these pictures were used for the bit about David David. There was another one but I didn't like it very much so I just left it off. But these two, I just love them. The boy with the laser eyes is rad. That's right RAD.

Yesterday we saw these girls who were just milling around various charity shops and they just had this whole air about them that was mega annoying. You know those people who are like yeah I'm a photographer and a blogger and a model and a DJ and a designer and I'm in an experimental noise band which totes pushes all the boundaries of all music genres? well yeah they were like that.

But we didn't actually talk to them, so we can't be completley sure, but I bet my bottom dollar they were.

Fecal face is one of the best websites in the world i swear. Ferris Plock is one artist that I found on there and he does the best little drawings ever.

I'M REALLY REALLY BORED

I have posted about a gazillion times about being bored. I am constantly bored, even when something good happens its just like oh it'll be over soon. Ok maybe thats a bit more negativity than boredom but argh im so bored i could eat my left arm. and then my right arm. and then both my legs.
But here is some rad drawings and art stuff that i found on fecal face. They are not boring and they brighten up my day. Eric Yahnker-Weave me tender. It's Elvis all messed up, I want it really big on my wall.
Damon Soule- Prime Oblivion. I like it, but it kinda makes my eyes hurt a bit and the colours are kinda gross. But still.
Cuttings.
Trasheaters.
Grasp.
All of these photos are by Amy Stein. Photography is pretty samey usually so I suppose you have to change the subject to make it different. The dead rabbit in the garden cuttings is my favourite. Anyway she takes loads of pictures with cool animals in, like bears and stuff. I'm looking for one with a raccoon in. They're my favourite.
smell ya later (i love the simpsons waaaaaay to much)

OH YES...

As I write these very words, snow is a'falling on merry old suffolk. It's so pretty, I loooooovve it. Although it is bloody freezing man.
It feels so like Christmas now, I am eating a mince pie and the tree is up. ahhhh.
So today I had like nothing to write about so I had to hunt about a bit. I found this artist called Conrad Ruiz. I like him, because his name has rad in it and he does pictures like this...
Wowee. His work is watercolour! I can't even believe that, watercolours are usually so washed out and like merged together. Ok maybe its just because I can't use them properly but you get my jist right?

I like this, I wish I had one thats like the size of my wall and I could just look at it all day long. Then I could always find new things in the drawing, it's amazing.

So yeah thats it for today, bye bye

My little collage

Good evening. Today I managed to do actually nothing. I revised a bit, but thats not really of any interest to me or anyone else for that matter. Also I made a little collage... The deer is crying all over the old american lady. And theres a little man playing with a castle, but this photo is a bit rubbish. I don't know how to use our scanner, which I suppose is a bit stupid in this technological age.

Thats all I really wanted to say right now. Im going to watch X-Factor.

Tripped Out Space Fiction

HELLOHELLO!
I love psychedelia, right now it is my favourtie thing. The colours and the thoughts that go behind it all, gah I adore it. So when I was flipping through the good old internet and I found this artist called Seana Gavin. Look at these. Feasts for the eyes my friend, feasts for the eyes.Excess, one of my favourites. The random head in the clouds, spaceman, butterfly floating across an electronic rainbow, nice one.Less, Im not sure about this one. The colours arent so trippy and bright as the others, but then they have hands pointing into the sky. You have got to love that. Untitled. If I had to give it a title it would be HIGDBNHSTYGGHDVKUYD. It is my favourite, jellyfish, and weird plant things that look like creatures. And to top it all off, youve got a famous marble statue in the middle, making out in the midst of all that acid drenched lovelyness.

Her work is freaking amazing, non? Im going to try and make some of my own, minus the drug influences. Ill just have to eat a lot of sugar or something.

bye my loves.
